Waitangi Work

Kia Ora,

On the 6th of Feb it was Waitangi Day, so in Rm7 we had to create a quiz about Waitangi Day and write about the History of a place that is special to us in NZ. I teamed up with Zara-Mao and Kiara. Here is a LINK to our work

I liked this task because it let me do what I love most research and design.

Here is another Link for My Special Place

What’s your special place?

Inside Out!!!!

This week we have been doing an A.V.A.I.L (an A.V.A.I.L is where you watch a movie and do tasks about it). It was very fun and enjoyable, the movie that we did was Inside Out.

Here is my favorite task, we had to show feeling with our faces and emojis.

Have you watched Inside Out, what is your favorite part?

Let me know

Maui Myth 🪝

This week for reading we have been reading a book called Maui the sun catcher. Our task was to create a moment in the story which is most important to us. I chose to recreate the moment (Spoiler Alert) when Maui let the sun go and the sun moved slowly across the sky. Here it is

My favorite part of this task was when I figured out how to use Kleki the thing I was using to draw this. Maybe you could use Kleki and let me know how it went.

Let me know 😄

My Play

Kia Ora,

This week  for Reading we did plays, mine was The Competition

We had to write a retell, make a flowchart of the story, list the characters and make a list of props,

Here is the reading work slide the all my group is shared with.

Do you think you would want to be in this play and what character?

The Sun in different cultures

Kia Ora

For reading on google docs I made a table to show the is viewed sun in different cultures.

Here it is

DK The Sun 🌞

Use this chart to compare the representation of the Sun

The sun in Maori culture The sun in Egyptian Culture
Maori believed that in the old days the sun went across the sky very quickly.they thought that Maui slowed the sun.🌞 For Egyptian culture the sun was a god named Osiris he was the god of the dead.

It was believed he was reborn in the morning and died in the afternoon.🌞

Can you think of anything else I can add?
